Bed Bug

Indoor environments, specifically cracks and crevices near human sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and headboards.

Obligate hematophages; they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and require a blood meal to molt.

Do not transmit diseases but cause itchy welts, allergic reactions, and significant psychological distress. They provide no known benefits to the ecosystem.
