Obligate hematophage (blood-feeding), primarily targeting humans but occasionally other warm-blooded animals.

Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal pests that hide in cracks and crevices during the day choice and emerge at night to feed. They undergo simple metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks & Benefits

Risks include itchy skin welts, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, and psychological distress. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans.
