Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Larvae feed on natural fibers such as wool and silk, as well as spider webs and organic debris.
Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a protective silk case covered in sand, dust, and debris. It is open at both ends, allowing the larva to turn around inside and emerge from either side to travel and feed.
Risks & Benefits
Generally harmless to humans but can be considered a household pest as it may damage clothing, rugs, or fabrics made of natural fibers.
