Case-bearing Clothes Moth larva

Found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas such as closets, basements, and attics where woolens and textiles are stored.

Feeds on animal-based fibers such as wool, fur, feathers, hair, and occasionally stored grains or dry debris.

The larva constructs a portable silken case around itself, incorporating bits of fabric or debris, and drags it along as it moves. It avoids light and pupates inside the case.

Risks include significant damage to clothing, carpets, woolens, and stored fabrics. They provide no direct benefits to households.
