Size: 4 to 5 mm (adults), roughly the size of an apple seed.

Natural Habitat
Found primarily in human dwellings, living in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and baseboards.
Diet & Feeding
Exclusively hematophagous, meaning they feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals, with a strong preference for humans.
Behavior Patterns
Night-active insects that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and require a blood meal to molt into the next life stage.
Risks & Benefits
They do not known to transmit diseases, but their bites can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, itching, and significant psychological distress and insomnia. They offer no benefits to the indoor ecosystem.
