Mold Mite

Indoor environments with high humidity, damp surfaces, and stored organic materials.

Feeds primarily on fungi, yeast, mold, and decaying organic matter.

Rapid reproduction in warm, humid conditions; often found in swarms on food or fabric where mold exists.

Generally harmless to humans but can cause skin irritation (grocer's itch) or respiratory allergies; can contaminate food supplies.
