Feeds on dander (dead skin cells) shed by humans and animals, as well as some mold.

Behavior Patterns

Thrive in warm, humid environments (70-80% humidity); they do not drink water but absorb it from the air. Their life cycle from egg to adult takes about 1 month.

Risks & Benefits

Risks include being a major trigger for asthma, eczema, and allergic rhinitis due to proteins in their waste. They provide no significant benefits to humans.
