Warm, moist environments; typically found on the undersides of leaves, stems, and fruits of indoor and outdoor plants.

Slow-moving insects that secrete a white, waxy, cotton-like coating for protection. They often cluster in sheltered areas of a plant and excrete honeydew, which can lead to sooty mold growth.

Significant agricultural and horticultural pests that cause leaf yellowing, stunted growth, and plant death. They provide no significant benefits and can spread plant viruses.
