Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Obligate hematophages, primarily feeding on human blood, though they may also bite other warm-blooded animals.
Behavior Patterns
They are nocturnal, emerging from hiding places at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and can survive for several months without a meal.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin rashes, psychological distress, and allergic reactions. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans. They offer no ecological benefits to human environments.
