Bed Bug

Indoor environments, primarily in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas, such as mattresses, bed frames, and headboards.

Obligate hematophages, meaning they feed exclusively on animal blood, primarily humans.

Nocturnal; they emerge at night to feed on hosts and hide during the day. Their life cycle includes five nymphal stages, each requiring a blood meal to molt.

Risks include itchy skin rashes, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. While they do not transmit diseases, they are significant domestic pests. There are no known benefits to the ecosystem.
