Likely German cockroach nymph

Warm, humid indoor sites—especially kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, and wall or cabinet crevices. The pictured insect is too small and indistinct for definitive identification.

Omnivorous scavengers that consume crumbs, grease, starches, cardboard, pet food, and other organic debris.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-moving, and strongly shelter-seeking. Females carry egg cases until hatching, allowing populations to build rapidly indoors.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and may spread allergens associated with asthma and respiratory irritation. They have little household benefit, though they recycle organic matter outdoors.
