Warm, humid indoor areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, and appliance interiors.

Omnivorous scavengers consuming food scraps, grease, starches, pet food, and occasionally paper or glue.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-running, and concealed by day. Nymphs develop through several molts and can reproduce rapidly in heated buildings.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens linked to asthma and dermatitis. They provide little meaningful household benefit, though they serve as prey for other animals.
