Likely carpet beetle larva

Indoors, especially in carpets, upholstered furniture, closets, and stored natural-fiber materials; adults may occur around windows and flowers.

Larvae eat keratin-rich materials such as wool, fur, feathers, hair, and dead insects. Adults generally feed on pollen and nectar.

Larvae are slow-moving, hairy, and often hide in dark undisturbed areas; shed hairs and skins may remain after they move. Adults are active fliers and may enter homes from outdoors.

They do not bite or transmit disease, but larval hairs can irritate sensitive skin and infestations can damage textiles. They also help recycle dead animal material outdoors.
