Small cockroach nymph (likely German cockroach)

Warm, humid indoor areas, especially kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, and around plumbing or appliances.

Omnivorous scavengers that eat food scraps, grease, starches, paper, glue, and other organic material.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-running, and concealed during daylight. Females carry egg cases, and nymphs molt through several wingless stages before adulthood.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. They provide little household benefit, though they recycle organic matter outdoors.
