Behavior Patterns

Naturally migrates out of the ear canal assisted by jaw movement (chewing/talking). It is a mixture of viscous secretions from sebaceous and ceruminous glands, along with shed skin cells.

Risks & Benefits

Benefits include lubricating and cleaning the ear canal, as well as providing protection against bacteria, fungi, insects, and water. Excessive buildup can cause hearing blockage or impaction (risk).
