Likely carpet beetle larva

Indoors, especially around carpets, upholstered furniture, closets, windowsills, and stored natural-fiber materials.

Larvae eat keratin-rich materials such as wool, fur, feathers, hair, and dead insects; adults mainly consume pollen and nectar.

Larvae are slow-moving, bristly, and often hide in dark, undisturbed areas; they molt repeatedly and may leave shed skins. Adults are small, oval beetles that may fly toward windows and light.

They do not bite or transmit disease, but larvae can damage textiles and occasionally cause skin irritation from hairs. They recycle animal-derived debris, while adults contribute modestly to pollination.
