Behavior Patterns
Mostly nocturnal and solitary. Nymphs camouflage themselves by coating their sticky bodies with dust and debris; adults develop dark, elongate wings.
Risks & Benefits
Beneficial indoors because it preys on flies, cockroaches, bed bugs, and other pests. It rarely bites people, but handling can cause a painful defensive bite.
