The larva constructs a protective silk case flattened and shaped like a pumpkin seed, covered in sand, dust, and lint. It can move by poking its head out of either end of the case.
Risks & Benefits
They are a household nuisance and can occasionally damage natural fiber clothing or carpets, but they possess no health risks to humans or pets.
