Diet & Feeding

Behavior Patterns

Adults are active fliers and commonly appear from spring through autumn. They lay eggs in soil, where larvae develop before pupating and emerging as adults.

Risks & Benefits

They damage foliage and can transmit bacterial wilt and some viruses to cucurbits. They provide limited food for predators but are generally considered agricultural pests.
