Behavior Patterns

Larvae construct a silk-lined, flattened, spindle-shaped case covered with sand or dust for protection. They can move by protruding their head and front legs from either end of the case.

They are considered a minor domestic pest. Risks include cosmetic damage to natural fabrics and clothing. They do not pose a direct health risk to humans.
