Likely booklouse (psocid)

Humid indoor areas, especially stored books, cardboard, cupboards, and organic debris; some live outdoors on bark and foliage.

Molds, fungi, algae, microscopic organic particles, and occasionally starchy residues; it does not bite or suck blood.

Moves slowly or intermittently and favors warm, damp conditions. Populations increase where humidity is high, often reproducing without males in some indoor species.

Harmless to people and pets and not known to transmit disease. It can signal excess moisture and may damage or contaminate stored paper products when abundant.
