Cockroach nymph, likely brown-banded cockroach

Warm, dry indoor areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, cabinets, and appliances; brown-banded cockroaches often occur in elevated, relatively dry locations.

Omnivorous scavengers feeding on food crumbs, grease, starches, adhesives, dead insects, and organic debris.

Mostly nocturnal and fast-moving, hiding in cracks during daylight. Females attach egg cases to concealed surfaces; nymphs molt through several stages before adulthood.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and rhinitis. They recycle organic matter but are generally considered household pests.
