Natural Habitat
In tropical and subtropical regions, they nest outdoors under debris, logs, or in plant cavities. Indoors, they nest in wall voids, behind baseboards, and inside potted plants.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous; they prefer honeydew from aphids and mealybugs, but also consume sweets and proteins/greases in human kitchens.
Behavior Patterns
They are highly mobile, frequently moving nests when disturbed. They are known for their erratic, jerky movement when disturbed and often travel in trails along edges of surfaces.

They do not sting or cause structural damage, but they are significant nuisance pests in homes and can contaminate food sources.
