Natural Habitat
Dark, damp environments such as basements, crawl spaces, caves, and hollow logs.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous scavenger; eats organic debris, fungi, plant matter, and sometimes other insects or fabrics/paper if food is scarce.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and flightless. They possess long antennae for navigating dark areas and use their powerful hind legs to leap long distances when startled.
Risks & Benefits
Harmless to humans as they do not bite or sting. They can be a nuisance if they congregate in large numbers indoors and may occasionally damage fabrics or indoor plants.
