Natural Habitat
Agricultural fields, gardens, orchards, and sometimes accidentally entering homes near grassy areas.
Diet & Feeding
Predatory; they feed on aphids, thrips, spider mites, and insect eggs. They are highly beneficial in gardens.
Behavior Patterns
Active during the day, they are agile fliers and crawl quickly. They go through five nymphal stages before reaching adulthood and often congregate on flowers.

Benefits: Significant natural pest control for crops and gardens. Risks: They are known to bite humans occasionally, especially in late summer or fall; the bite is sharp and painful (like a needle prick) but they do not inject venom, carry diseases, or feed on human blood.
