Natural Habitat
Grassy fields, pastures, gardens, and under rocks or logs; frequently enter homes during late summer or early autumn.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous; feeds on organic matter, seedlings, seeds, and occasionally other insects.
Behavior Patterns
Primarily nocturnal; males produce a characteristic chirping sound by rubbing wings together to attract mates. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis.
Risks & Benefits
