Small cockroach nymph (likely German cockroach)

Warm, humid indoor areas—especially kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, and around appliances. It hides in cracks during daylight and emerges at night.

Omnivorous scavengers that consume food scraps, grease, starches, cardboard, soap residue, and other organic matter.

Fast-running, nocturnal, and highly reproductive; females carry an egg case until shortly before hatching. Nymphs lack wings and develop through several molts.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. They provide little household benefit, though they serve as prey for predators outdoors.
