German cockroach nymph

Warm, humid indoor areas, especially kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, cabinets, and wall voids. They hide in cracks near food and water.

Omnivorous scavengers feeding on crumbs, grease, starches, sweets, waste, and occasionally paper or glue.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-running, and adept at hiding in narrow crevices. Females carry egg cases until hatching; multiple overlapping generations can develop indoors each year.

They can contaminate food and surfaces and spread microbes mechanically; shed skins and droppings may trigger allergies or asthma. They provide little household benefit, though they serve as prey for other animals.
