A fast-moving predator that eats cockroaches, silverfish, flies, spiders, termites, and other small arthropods.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and solitary, it hunts by sensing vibrations with its legs and antennae. It hides in cracks by day and develops through successive molts, retaining its legs while adding pairs as it matures.
Risks & Benefits
Generally beneficial because it suppresses household pests and rarely bites people. Bites are uncommon and usually mild, causing localized pain or irritation.
