Behavior Patterns

The larva constructs a protective silk case covered in sand, dust, and lint. It remains inside the flat, spindle-shaped case, poking its head out to move or feed, and eventually pupates within it.

Risks & Benefits

Generally harmless to humans but can be considered a minor pest as they may damage silk or wool fabrics. They are more of a nuisance indicating the presence of dust and spider webs.
