Bed bug (likely nymph)

Mattresses, bed frames, upholstery, cracks, and other sheltered indoor areas near sleeping hosts.

Feeds exclusively on blood, usually human blood, by piercing skin and drinking for several minutes.

Nocturnal and secretive; hides during daylight and may survive many months without feeding. Eggs, shed skins, dark fecal spots, and bites often indicate an infestation.

Does not transmit known human diseases efficiently, but bites can cause itching, allergic reactions, and secondary infection from scratching. It has no meaningful household benefit and is difficult to eradicate.
