Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Adults feed on nectar from flowers; larvae (caterpillars) are generalists feeding on grasses, vegetables, and ornamental plants.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal; strongly attracted to artificial light. Larvae are 'cutworms' that hide in soil by day and feed at night, often cutting stems at the base.
