Small cockroach nymph (likely German cockroach)

Warm, humid indoor areas, especially kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, and wall voids. It is commonly transported in food packaging and household goods.

An omnivorous scavenger feeding on crumbs, grease, starches, organic debris, and occasionally other materials such as glue.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-moving, and concealed in cracks during daylight. Females carry egg cases until hatching, allowing populations to increase rapidly indoors.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. It has little meaningful household benefit, though cockroaches recycle organic matter outdoors.
