Cockroach nymph (likely German cockroach)

Warm, humid indoor areas—especially kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, and laundry spaces. They hide in cracks and near food, water, and appliances.

Omnivorous scavengers eating crumbs, grease, starches, sweets, pet food, and organic debris.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-moving, and strongly shelter-seeking; they hide during daylight. Females carry an egg case until hatching, and populations can grow rapidly indoors.

They can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. They provide little household benefit, though cockroaches recycle organic matter outdoors.
