Brown-banded cockroach (likely)

Warm, dry indoor spaces, especially bedrooms, kitchens, furniture, and appliances. It can spread through clothing, boxes, and used furnishings.

Omnivorous scavenger feeding on crumbs, grease, starches, glue, dead insects, and organic debris. It may also nibble fabric or book bindings when food is scarce.

Mostly nocturnal and fast-moving; adults and nymphs hide in cracks and emerge at night. Females attach banded egg cases to protected surfaces, and infestations can develop indoors year-round.

It can contaminate food and surfaces, trigger allergies or asthma, and spread mechanically carried microbes. It has no meaningful household benefit.
