Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous; they eat a variety of organic matter including seeds, plants, small insects, and decaying material. Can become pests by chewing on fabrics like wool or cotton.
Behavior Patterns
Primarily nocturnal and known for the distinct chirping sound produced by males rubbing their wings together (stridulation) to attract mates. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).
