Natural Habitat

Warm, dry indoor areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, furniture, and appliances; it often hides in cracks and crevices.

Diet & Feeding

Omnivorous scavengers that consume crumbs, starches, grease, dead insects, cardboard, and other organic debris.

Behavior Patterns

Mostly nocturnal and fast-moving; females deposit egg cases in sheltered locations, and nymphs pass through several molts. The image is blurred, so identification is probable rather than definitive.

Risks & Benefits

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. It provides limited ecological value indoors, though cockroaches recycle organic matter outdoors.
