Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns

The larva constructs a protective silken case covered in sand or debris and carries it while moving. It can extend its head from either end to feed or move. After feeding, it attaches to a surface to pupate.

Risks & Benefits

They are considered a minor household pest as they can damage natural fiber clothing or carpets. They do not pose a direct health risk to humans or pets.
