Bedrooms and other indoor areas, especially mattress seams, bed frames, upholstered furniture, and wall cracks.

Feeds primarily on blood, usually from humans and occasionally other warm-blooded animals. It is wingless and feeds at night.

Nocturnal, hiding in crevices during daylight; females lay eggs in sheltered locations, and several immature stages occur before adulthood. Infestations spread through luggage, clothing, furniture, and adjacent rooms.

Bites can cause itching, inflammation, and allergic reactions, but bed bugs are not established vectors of disease. They provide little meaningful ecological benefit indoors; confirm identification with a clear specimen or pest professional.
