Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Adults primarily feed on plants, nectar, and pollen; larvae, known as wireworms, live in the soil and feed on roots and seeds.
Behavior Patterns
Best known for their ability to 'click' and snap their bodies to flip into the air if they find themselves upside down or several to escape predators.
Risks & Benefits
Adults are generally harmless to humans, but the larvae (wireworms) can be significant agricultural pests that damage root crops and seedlings.
