Behavior Patterns
Mostly nocturnal, fast-moving, and concealed during daylight. Females carry egg cases until hatching; populations reproduce rapidly in heated buildings.
Risks & Benefits
Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. They provide little meaningful household or ecological benefit, though they contribute to decomposition outdoors.
