Natural Habitat

Broadleaf plants, shrubs, woodland edges, gardens, and hedgerows across much of Europe and parts of Asia.

Diet & Feeding

Pierces plant tissues and sucks sap, especially from leaves, shoots, fruits, and developing seeds. It is mainly a plant feeder.

Behavior Patterns

Nymphs pass through several stages before becoming winged adults; adults overwinter in sheltered vegetation or leaf litter. They commonly release a strong odor when disturbed.
