Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Larvae feed on spider webs and natural fibers such as wool, hair, silk, and occasionally shed skin or dust.
Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a spindle-shaped silk case covered in sand, dust, and debris. It can poke its head out of either end of the case to crawl or feed, eventually pupating inside the same structure.

Generally considered a minor household pest as they can damage clothes or upholstery made of natural fibers; they pose no direct physical risk or health threat to humans.
