Brown marmorated stink bug

Common in gardens, orchards, woodlands, and buildings, especially around windows and screens during autumn and winter.

Pierces plants and sucks sap from fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, and trees. It may cause dimpling, discoloration, and internal crop damage.

Adults seek sheltered crevices and buildings to overwinter, then emerge in spring; females lay clusters of eggs on leaves. When disturbed, they release a strong defensive odor and may fly or drop away.

Not dangerous to humans, though its odor is unpleasant and it can be a significant agricultural pest. It provides limited prey value for predators but is invasive in many regions.
