Likely carpet beetle larva

Indoor areas, especially carpets, closets, upholstery, and undisturbed fabric or lint. Adults commonly occur around windows and flowers.

Larvae feed on keratin-containing materials such as wool, fur, feathers, hair, and dead insects; adults feed mainly on pollen and nectar.

Larvae are slow-moving, often hide in dark undisturbed spaces, and may leave shed hairs or bristly skins. Development can take months to over a year depending on temperature and food.

They can damage natural-fiber clothing, carpets, and taxidermy; larval hairs may irritate skin or airways. Adults pollinate flowers, and larvae help decompose animal-derived material.
