Behavior Patterns
Primarily nocturnal, fast-moving, and strongly attracted to warmth, moisture, and shelter. Females carry an egg case until shortly before hatching, enabling rapid population growth.
Risks & Benefits
Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. It has little meaningful household benefit, though it serves as prey for predators in natural ecosystems.
