Bed bug (probable)

Human dwellings, especially mattress seams, bed frames, furniture joints, and cracks near sleeping areas. The pictured insect is too blurred for absolute confirmation.

Feeds exclusively on blood, primarily from humans, using piercing-sucking mouthparts. It usually feeds at night and becomes swollen afterward.

Wingless, reddish-brown, flattened insects that hide by day and emerge at night. They spread through luggage, clothing, furniture, and wall voids; infestations can persist for months without feeding.

Bites can cause itchy, inflamed welts and allergic reactions, but bed bugs are not established vectors of human disease. They provide little ecological benefit indoors.
