Household Case-bearing Clothes Moth (Larva)

Indoor environments, particularly in humid climates, often found on walls, under furniture, or near baseboards.

Natural fibers like wool, silk, hair, and feathers, as well as spider webs and dead insects.

The larva constructs a silken flat, seed-shaped case covered in sand, dust, and lint for protection. It drags this case while moving and can protrude its head from either end to feed or move.

Does not bite humans but can be a pest by damaging clothing, rugs, and upholstery made from natural fibers. They do not pose significant health risks.
