German cockroach nymph

Warm, humid indoor areas, especially kitchens, bathrooms, cupboards, and around appliances. It commonly hides in cracks and crevices near food and water.

Omnivorous scavengers feeding on food residues, grease, starches, book bindings, and occasionally other organic material.

Mostly nocturnal, fast-moving, and strongly thigmotactic, seeking narrow shelters. Females carry egg cases until hatching, and infestations can develop rapidly.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and spread allergens associated with asthma and dermatitis. It has little meaningful household benefit and is generally considered a pest.
