Likely silverfish

Dark, humid indoor areas such as bathrooms, basements, kitchens, and storage spaces; often found in cracks and upholstery.

Feeds on carbohydrates and starchy materials, including paper, book bindings, wallpaper paste, fabrics, and crumbs; it may also consume dead insects.

Nocturnal, fast-running, and strongly light-averse; it hides during the day and can survive for months with little food. It develops gradually without a pupal stage and may live for several years.

Does not bite, sting, transmit disease, or pose a significant health risk. It can damage paper, photographs, textiles, and wallpaper, while also contributing modestly to indoor detritus breakdown.
